A 37-year-old man has killed himself by drinking a poisonous substance suspected to be Sniper insecticide at Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos.
Lagos police spokesman, Bala Elkana, in a statement on Sunday said news of the suicide reached Shagamu Road Police Station on August 30.

Seyi Onayemi died in his room at 7th Avenue, Rofo Estate, Odogunyan, Shagamu Road, Ikorodu, after allegedly drinking the substance.
The corpse has been evacuated to a mortuary for autopsy.
Police said the empty bottle of the poisonous substance and a suicide note were recovered from the scene.
Mr Elkana did not reveal the content of the note.
