Her name is Karrueche Tran. Come November 15, 2015, she will be in Abuja to host the 10th edition of PLAY’s Pool Party.
Karrueche first gained fame when she began dating former boyfriend, R&B singer, Chris Brown in 2011 shortly after he was charged with two felonies for assaulting then-girlfriend, Rihanna.
In 2012, a love triangle ensued between her, Brown and Rihanna after the two famous exes were photographed cuddling at a Lakers game.
Following an apology from Brown months later, Karrueche took him back and even supported the 26-year-old while he was incarcerated in 2014.
She finally ended the tumultuous on-off again relationship in March, 2015 after she found out the ‘Dont Judge Me’ singer had fathered a daughter , Royalty, with a woman named Nia Guzman.
Among the men she has been linked with recently are rapper, Drake; Manchester United footballr, Memphis Depay, and reality TV personality, Rob Kardashian.
The 27-year-old who is currently signed to Wilhelmina Models LA has appeared on the covers of Rolling Out, Flaunt Magazine, Ouch Magazine, The Hundreds, Cliche Magazine, Bleu Magazine and Annex Magazine.
Karrueche joins the growing list of American female celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Amber Rose to visit Nigeria in recent years.
Many who paid to see Kim and Amber – invited by Darey Alade and D’banj respectively – accused organisers of rip-off as the two women failed to live up to the hype generated by their coming.
PLAY, who is famous for holding exclusive pool parties in Nigeria featured American R&B singer, J.Holiday, as host for its 9th edition in October 2014.
