Interim head coach of the Super Falcons, Christopher Danjuma, has named Barcelona striker, Asisat Oshoala, captain of the team.
The announcement comes ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games qualifier against Ivory Coast.

Danjuma confirmed the appointment in Abuja late Tuesday at the team’s training camp ahead of the two-legged qualifying fixture.
Desire Oparanozie led the Falcons to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup where they were lost out in the second round.
Danjuma, the Nasarawa Amazons’ coach, was named Falcons interim coach after Thomas Dennerby resigned citing interference on the job.
