Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has congratulated the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, on the conferment of an honorary doctorate degree on him by Afe Babalola University.
Tinubu was given the honour at the university’s seventh convocation held on Monday.

Also honoured were the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III; the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe; and chairman/chief executive officer, Green Energy International Limited, Prof. Anthony Adegbulugbe.
In a tweet, however, on Monday, Mr Gbajabiamila said the honorary degree conferred on Tinubu was testament to his commitment to nation-building and upliftment of humanity.
“I congratulate the National Leader of @OfficialAPCNg, @AsiwajuTinubu on his conferment of an honorary doctorate degree -(honoris causa) by Afe Babalola University. This is another testament to your commitment to nation-building and the upliftment of humanity. Congratulations sir!” he wrote.

Gbajabiamila represents Surulere I federal constituency in Lagos State at the National Assembly.
Tinubu, however, is a former governor of Lagos.
