Celebrity disk jockey, DJ Cuppy, has said that she told her father, Femi Otedola, that her wedding would be ‘smaller’ and ‘less stressful’ than the Gold Gala event she held on Sunday night in Abuja.
Cuppy, who clocked 27 on Monday, raised N5.1 billion in donations at the event for her foundation’s project in the North East.

Tweeting on Tuesday, she said she told her father not to worry, adding that her wedding would be less stressful.
“I told my dad that he shouldn’t worry, my wedding will be smaller and less stressful than the #CuppyGoldGala 😅,” she wrote.
While Mr Otedola donated N5 billion to the Cuppy Foundation, Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, who is Cuppy’s godfather, donated N100 million.
Dangote attended the event with daughter, Halima.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbjao was also at the event alongside the minister of industry, trade and investment, Niyi Adebayo.
Cuppy, an ambassador of the Save the Children UK, a non-governmental organisation, said her foundation, which was launched in August 2018, was inspired by a trip to Maiduguri, Borno State.
