Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia covertly support Boko Haram, herdsmen – Fani-Kayode

Femi Fani-Kayode

Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has accused Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia of covertly supporting Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen.

The ex-minister, in a tweet on Tuesday morning, alleged that while the aforementioned countries secretly support Boko Haram and killer herdsmen, ISIS and Al Qaeda make their support open.

He, however, did not back his claim with evidence.

“Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia covertly support Boko Haram and the Fulani herdsmen. ISIS, Al Qaeda and Islamic Jihad do so openly. What is slowly unfolding in our country is alarming and frightful. Nigeria needs the support of @realDonaldTrump and Israel for what lies ahead,” Fani-Kayode said.

Boko Haram insurgents have killed tens of thousands in the northern part of the country since they became active sometime in the early 2000s.

Killer herdsmen, however, have posed more recent threat to the security of the nation with attacks in the Middle Belt particularly Benue State.
