Media personality, Toke Makinwa, has said that she ‘honestly’ does not live for awards, adding that she likes to stay away from award ceremonies.
The 35-year-old said this on Tuesday in a post on Instagram in reply to a compilation of top 10 biggest Nigerian celebrities of the decade by Pulse.ng.

Toke made the list on number 10.
“I honestly don’t live for awards, I hardly attend award ceremonies, keep plaques or fuss about recognition, I am just thankful for growth in my career, I’m thankful for the opportunities in the last decade to make a mark, to even have a chance to impact my world, to grow from Radio to Television, Vlogging, writing a book, becoming a bankable influencer, partnering with multiple brands and creating amazing content, acting, launching multiple businesses, and staying relevant even in the face of adversity,” she said.
Those who also made the list include Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, on number 9; actress Genevieve Nnaji on number 8.

Pop singer, D’banj, made the cut on number 7. Media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, was named on sixth position while actress Funke Akindele and singer, Tiwa Savage, took fifth and fourth position respectively.
Wizkid, Davido, and Psquare stand on the list as number one, two, and three respectively.
