Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has sent a list of 18 commissioner-nominees to the House of Assembly for confirmation.
Speaker Olakunle Oluomo read Abiodun’s letter containing the list during plenary in Abeokuta on Thursday.

The list comes about seven months after Mr Abiodun was sworn in on May 29.
Mr Oluomo said that the governor had written to seek for the confirmation of the nominees.
Among the nominees was a former commissioner for sports in the state, Afolabi Afuape.
Others included Oludotun Taiwo, Ganiyu Hamzat, Funmi Efuape, Kehinde Oluwadare, Jamiu Omoniyi, Toyin Taiwo, Tunji Akinosi, Ade Adesanya, and Adeola Odedina.
