Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has vowed that he would rather die than join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mr Fani-Kayode had been rumoured to be making plans to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling party.

In a tweet early Saturday, however, the former minister said he found such rumours ‘deeply insulting’.
“The suggestion that I have dumped @OfficialPDPNig for @OfficialAPCNg is false and deeply insulting. Those that are peddling this fake news should bury their heads in shame. I would rather die than join a filthy, rat-infested sinking ship like the Almajiri Peoples Party (APC),” he said.

Fani-Kayode, a vocal critic of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administraton, recently alleged that a governor in the APC, South-west region, has been told by a cabal that he would be made president in 2023.
He added that the governor has been asked to ‘divide’ and ‘destroy’ socio-cultural group, Afenifere, as condition for being made president.
