Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has been hospitalised in London, United Kingdom for an undisclosed illness.
The governor, in a statement on Monday by his media aide, Mukhtar Gidado, did not disclose the nature of his illness.
“I am in hospital in London but we strongly believe that Allah is sufficient for us and He is able and capable to give us victory! Cheers, success shall be ours Insha Allah! Cheers to you all,” he said.
Mohammed was referring to an appeal filed against his election at the Supreme Court by Mohammed Abubakar.
The apex court on Monday adjourned the appeal and that of 12 others against the elections of Mohammed and five other governors.
Mohammed, however, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the lofty ideals of new Bauchi movement, pledging to lead with justice, equity and humility.
