Ooni endorses Mercy Johnson’s new movie, Legend of Inikipi

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has endorsed Legend of Inikipi, a movie produced by Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson-Okojie.

In a video posted by Mercy on Instagram on Friday, the royal father described the movie as one that “actually has a very strong undertone to our culture, our heritage and our tradition.”

The monarch added that he was very proud to be associated with the movie and its producer whom he described as ‘amiable’ and ‘intelligent’.

Describing the movie as epic, the Ooni said the movie would never be forgotten.

On her part, the 34-year-old actress thanked the Ooni for his support, adding that she was humbled by his endorsement.

The Legend of Inikpi, directed by Frank Rajah Arase, hits cinemas on January 24.
