Nollywood actress, Ini Edo, is playing the character of Gloria in Kunle Afolayan’s new movie, Citation.
Kunle shared a picture on Instagram on Friday of Ini on set, adding that she was playing the role of Gloria in the movie.
“The talented @iniedo as Gloria in #citationthemovie,” he said.
Kunle did not reveal details of Ini Edo’s character in the much-anticipated movie.
Ini, however, gave a slim tip into her character in the movie with a post on Instagram.
“Different faces of Gloria #citationthemovie 💦,” she said with three pictures showing different facial expressions.
Citation also features frontline actress Joke Silva and experienced broadcaster-turned-actor, Sadiq Daba.
Temi Otedola, fashion entrepreneur and daughter of billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, will also be making her acting debut in Citation.
Exploring a subject of social decadence in the educational sector, the new movie is a college drama about a female postgraduate student who has to find a way of dealing with the awkward situation of sexual harassment from a lecturer.
Written by Golden Effects Pictures’ long-standing screenwriter, Tunde Babalola, Citation tells the story of Moremi Oluwa, a fun-loving 21-year-old student on campus in Nigeria. Incensed at being ill-treated by a trendy university don, Lucien N’Dyare, she drags him before the University Senate. The ensuing intrigues define Moremi’s word against that of the respected academic, in a male-dominated bastion.
The crew began shooting on January 10, 2020 and will continue until February 15, 2020, in three countries.
