Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, on Thursday attended the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting is being presided by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as recognised by the Constitution.
It is the first NEC meeting for the year and the first for Uzodinma who was recently sworn in as governor following a ruling by the Supreme Court which ousted Emeka Ihedioha.
Uzodinma, the newest member of the council, on arrival exchanged banters with other governors.
The monthly NEC meeting deliberates on economic planning efforts and programmes of the various levels of government in the country.
NEC comprises the 36 state governors, the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Minister of Finance, Secretary to the Government of the Federation and some other government officials whose duties hinge on the economy.
