Rapper, Onome Onokohwomo, popularly known as Yung6ix, has called out fellow rapper, MI Abaga, accusing him of not supporting his music career.
The rappers collaborated on the song ‘Grammy Money’ in 2017. However, in replying a tweet by radio station, Kiss FM in Abuja, which was playing the song on Thursday, the 30-year-old alleged that MI did not show up for the video shoot.
“D record M.I refused to support even though he was on it, chairman did not post or repost it or agree to come for video. He also didn’t also post my album which he was a part of. Yes, it’s true idols turn rivals. Still like your old songs but I’ve lost every symptom of respect I have for you,” he said.
When a fan pointed out that Yung6ix should have addressed the Chocolate City boss directly, the rapper implied that he had tried to do so.
Yung6ix said he was not the “average Nigerian artiste”, describing MI as someone who “thinks he can outsmart people.”
Yung6ix had previously called out MI for recycling his old songs.
MI, who is usually vocal on Twitter, has not responded to Yung6ix’s allegations.
