Singer, Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni, says she does not see anything wrong in a woman proposing to her man.
The 27-year-old shared her views on Saturday on Twitter after offering a free performance to anyone planning to propose to his or her partner.
“Btw it’s not wrong for a woman to propose to her man!” she said.
In a now-deleted tweet, a user replied the ‘Billionaire’ singer saying she should “stick to being a billionaire and leave intellectual conversations.”
Teni was quick to reply, taking on women who claim to be feminists but insist that their partner proposes first.
“Y’all are feminists till it’s time to bend on one knee and ask a man to marry you! Aren’t we equal?” she asked.
The conversation has divided Twitter, with many supporting Teni’s point of view while others seem to disagree.
Teni has previously said she is a feminist.
