Afrobeat star, Seun Kuti, says he and the convener of #RevolutionNow Movement, Omoyele Sowore, have a lot in common.
In a recent interview with QedTV, the 37-year-old said Mr Sowore’s cause was not exclusive to him and that supporting the cause was supporting oneself as a Nigerian.
Sowore was arrested in August 2019 over a plan to hold nationwide protests against alleged bad governance. He was later charged with treasonable felony among others.
“There’s no such thing as the Sowore cause. Sowore’s cause is Nigeria’s cause. It’s the people’s cause so I’m committed to the people’s cause,” Seun said.
He added that he supports the Nigerian people which ultimately means “Sowore and I have a lot in common.”
