Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, on Thursday met President Muhammadu Buhari, seeking a refund of about N32 billion his predecessors spent on Federal Government designated roads across the state.
The governor met President Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Uzodinma told reporters after the meeting that he met the President on the issue because the state was not in a good financial state.
“About N32 billion was spent on federal roads in the past. Imo is financially distressed,” he said.
The governor assured that the President gave him listening ears.
