The deposed Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi, has welcomed Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, to his place of exile in Awe, Nasarawa.
The governor arrived quietly in a seven-car convoy at about 12:47 pm on Friday without the use of sirens.
They both joined the weekly congregational prayer in the town at the mosque attached to the Palace of Emir of Awe, Isa Abubakar Umar, with Sanusi leading the prayer.
The former Central Bank of Nigeria governor had been leading daily congregational and Friday prayers in Kano before his dethronement.
