The All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended indefinitely the proposed National Executive Council (NEC) meeting scheduled for Tuesday.
The decision was reached on Monday after President Muhammadu Buhari met with governors on the platform known as the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) at the State House.
Chairman, Progressives Governors Forum, Abubakar Atiku-Bagudu, told reporters after the meeting that the governors urged Buhari to support the postponement until the party’s issues of conflict are resolved.
Governors who were at the meeting were those of Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Kwara, Kano, Nasarawa, Edo, Kebbi, Jigawa, Gombe, Borno, Niger, Plateau, Lagos, Katsina, and Imo States.
Governors of Kaduna, Ekiti, Yobe, and Kogi States were absent.
