Documentary producer, Ifeoma Chukwuogo, has threatened to expose a celebrity whom she claims attended the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) while having symptoms of coronavirus.
In a now-deleted tweet which she posted on Thursday, Ifeoma claimed that the celebrity, whom she did not name, came down with the symptoms after arriving from the UK.
She also advised anyone who attended the AMVCAs to self-isolate immediately.
“Very true story. He hasn’t tested but came in from the UK and is down with the symptoms. Plans to fly right back out soon, but has interacted with many people. I have the receipts and if he continues to refuse to report himself to the NCDC, I’ll whistleblow the sh*t with receipts,” she tweeted.
She then posted another tweet, later on, claiming that the celebrity had finally agreed to get tested and withdrew her threat to expose him.
“After I reported the issue last night, I planned to follow up this morning but information reaching me this morning is that he has now reported himself…,” she wrote.
Self-styled investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, made a similar claim on Thursday.
She advised anyone who attended the AMVCAs and an unnamed nightclub in Victoria Island, Lagos to self isolate as a ‘big celebrity’ who had tested positive for coronavirus visited the nightclub and attended the event.
This comes as four cases of the ravaging coronavirus were confirmed in Lagos State on Thursday.
The 2020 AMVCA was held in Lagos on Saturday, March 14.
