Celebrity stylist, Toyin Lawani, has reacted to the reports that a person with coronavirus attended the 2020 edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) held on March 14.
The 38-year-old shared her reaction on Instagram on Wednesday when she posted a picture of ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Omashola, who wore a coronavirus-inspired outfit to the event.
The Lagos-born stylist pointed out that she, Omashola and Ifu Ennada whom she also styled for the event, had tried to raise awareness about coronavirus but they were not taken seriously.
“Check the date, I started the theme and what the awareness was all about and how the skulls meant death by not maintaining social media distancing…@sholzy23 had sanitisers in his pocket and he kept panicking about the whole thing 24/7, while Ifu Ennada refused to go to the event without her mask as my team left it behind at first..,” she wrote.
Last Thursday, a documentary producer, Ifeoma Chukwuogo, and self-styled investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, alleged that a celebrity with symptoms of coronavirus had attended the AMVCAs which was held on March 14.
This was confirmed by the Lagos State Government on Tuesday and it urged all who attended the ceremony to self-isolate for at least 14 days.
