A fruit seller at Agungi area of Lagos State has been arrested for washing his wares with liquid from the drainage.
A woman identified as Tobi Odukoya had raised alarm over the incident on Twitter a few days ago.
“Good Morning, anyone stay(ing) in Agungi area – pls desist buying fruits from the mallams,” she captioned the video where the incident was recorded, tagging the Lagos State Government.
The video went viral and caught the attention of environmental authorities in the state.
The fruit seller, whose name is not yet confirmed, has now been arrested by officials of the Eti Osa Local Government.
