Nollywood actresses, Mercy Aigbe, Faithia Willaims and other celebrities, have shown support for actress, Funke Akindele, who has been arrested for violating the lockdown put in place to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.
They all shared their messages of support on Instagram on Monday.
Mercy Aigbe wrote, “To err is human…Pls we are pleading on her behalf Sending you lots of love, lights @funkejenifaakindele @jjcskillz especially at this period…,”
Faithia Balogun wrote, ” To err is human, to forgive divine… @funkejenifaakindele Be strong, the Lord is with you.”
Yomi Fabiyi captioned his post, “My prayers and concerns are with you Funke Akindele. I am particularly happy that you explain and apologised…”
Bidemi Kosoko wrote, “You can’t be broken sis because God is on your side. It is just so unfortunate that we live in a country where just one mistake erase millions of good things you have done. It is well sis.”
Other celebrities who sent words of encouragement to the Jenifa actress include popular crossdresser, Bobrisky, who wrote, “@funkejeniferakindele sending you love. Love you.”
Actress, Moyo Lawal, wrote, “Haaa …. what is all this na, this quarantine is enough to drive someone nut, then adding arrest ….. please ooooh, let’s #Freejenifa…”
Funke Akindele and her husband, JJC Skillz, were on Monday sentenced to 14 days of community service even though the actress had apologised for her action on Sunday.
