Who better to be our man crush this Monday than the handsome highlife singer, Flavour N’abania, who just turned 32 today?
The Nigerian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and performer was born Chinedu Okoli in Enugu State on November 23, 1983.
He began his musical career as a drummer for a local church in his home state Enugu.
After learning to play the drums and keyboard as part of a local Enugu band, the ‘Wiser’ singer pursued his career as a solo artiste and released his debut album N’abania through Obaino Music in 2005.
The album which included the single N’abania featuring rapper Mr Raw was limited to the Eastern part of Nigeria, particularly Enugu State.
However, in 2010, Flavour came into national and international recognition when he released the single ‘Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix)’.
He went on to release his second album Uplifted which included singles like ‘Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix)’, ‘Adamma’, and ‘Oyi’ remix featuring Tiwa Savage.
The album was also released in South Africa by Lolhiphop Records.
His third album Blessed was released on October, 18, 2012 through 2nite Entertainment and iROCKING LTD.
Flavour has since released over 30 singles and has several awards to his name including the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards for Best Live Act and Channel O Music Video Awards for Best R&B Video.
He is also the father to two children bore to him by Delta soap model, Sandra Okagbue, and ex beauty queen, Anna Banner.
