Kano State Government has confirmed two new coronavirus-related deaths in the state.
The state’s ministry of health confirmed this on Monday via Twitter.
The incident brings the number of COVID-19-related deaths in the state to three, with 77 total confirmed cases.
Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, had earlier in the day accused the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 of neglecting the state in the fight against the deadly disease.
The state is confronted with a non-functional laboratory and a flurry of strange deaths which the government says are not COVID-19-related.
