The 2019 film, Ibi (The Birth), by Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Seyi Alabi, has been selected for screening at the fourth edition of the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival, Canada.
The actress made this known on Instagram on Monday.
She wrote, ”My Movie IBI (The Birth) is a gift that keeps on giving. Another official selection to be screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada…”
The movie is about a new king who emerges in a peaceful village and decides to change the way a particular tradition is been done. As soon as this step was taken, strange things begin to happen.
It stars Seyi Alabi, Taiwo Hassan, Idowu Phillips, Peter Fatomilola, Kola Oyewo, Fausat Balogun and Yinka Quadri, among others.
The film, Efunsetan Aniwura, by Funmi Holder, has also been selected for screening at the same festival.
