The Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has congratulated actor, Segun Arinze, on his appointment as a member of the Federal Government coronavirus creative industry committee.
This was contained in a statement signed by the President of the guild, Emeka Rollas, shared on Instagram on Sunday.
The statement reads, ’’On behalf of the Board of Trustees… And entire members of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN), the National President, Emeka Rollas, congratulates the former President of the guild, Segun Arinze, on his appointment as member of the Federal Government Committee on Stimulus for the Creative Industry…’’
The constitution of the committee, which is tasked with advising the government on the best way to mitigate the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the creative industry, was announced by the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, in an interview with the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON), on Wednesday.
Comedian, Ali Baba, serves as Chairman of the committee which also includes artiste manager, Efe Omorebe and movie producer, Charles Novia, among others.
