Eight coronavirus deaths have been recorded in Kano, Kaduna and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Kano State Ministry of Health confimed three deaths on Saturday night.
Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, announced on Twitter that the state recorded two fatalities – a senior citizen from Makarfi and a lady from Zaria.
FCT minister, Mohammed Bello, also said the state recorded three more deaths as of Saturday.
Bello urged Abuja residents to take responsibility and adhere to protective measures laid down by health professionals to curb the further spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Nigeria recorded 239 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 4,151.
