Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has admitted that he would be pleased to see London rivals, Arsenal, knocked-out of the UEFA Champions League.
The Gunners need to beat Olympiakos in Athens on 9 December to progress to the knockout phase of Europe’s elite club competition.
Arsene Wenger’s side are currently third in Group F – three points behind second-placed Olympiakos and six behind leaders, Bayern Munich.
And Mourinho has revealed that he would rather see Olympiakos go through over the Gunners because of his friendship with their manager Marco Silva.
“(Arsenal) are in a group where a kid friend of mine Marco Silva is the manager of Olympiakos,” Mourinho told the Daily Star.
“It would be fantastic for the kid’s career to go through, so I have to be honest and say that I would like the kid and Olympiakos to go on,” he added.
Arsenal, who beat Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday night, return to Premier League action with a trip to Norwich City on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners lost 2-1 to West Bromwich Albion last weekend.
Chelsea, meanwhile, take on London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, at White Hart Lane same day lunchtime.
