Nollywood actor, Ejike Asiegbu, has revealed his love and admiration for former Super Eagles Captain, Jay-Jay Okocha.
The 60-year-old did so on Instagram on Tuesday.
“The best dribbler and entertainer of football in the whole world!!… I love you Jay Jay for the inspiration and excitement you bring…,” he wrote.
The Umuahia-born star is a passionate football fan.
In an interview with Complete Sports Magazine published in July 2017, he encouraged the government to increase funding for football in Nigeria.
He said, “We’ve seen some improvements in the standard of football, but the management of the clubs are equally important. The minister meant well because that means that the resources you spend outside of Nigeria will be within Nigeria.
“The 30% budget that these companies will remit to the Nigerian government can improve the standards of stadiums, welfare of the Nigerian League players and so many other things.
“I’ve seen television commercials of Nigerian companies supporting English teams in particular. Are we saying that they cannot do same for Nigeria…?”
