Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli, has revealed that her 2010 movie, Anchor Baby, was actually shot in Canada and not the United States of America.
The 42-year-old made this known on Tuesday when she shared photo of a scene from the movie on Instagram.
She also revealed that while the scene is set in the summer, it was actually shot in the winter which meant she had to wear a sundress in the freezing Canadian winter.
She wrote, “Fun fact… we shot this scene from Anchor Baby in winter and it was summer in the film so I had to wear a sun dress! Ladies and gentlemen, cold almost took my soul. It was my first time in Canada (I bet some of you don’t know we shot in Canada and not the US)…”
Anchor Baby is a tale of an illegal immigrant couple from Nigeria on a quest to create a better life for their unborn child. Their dream is to have their baby in the United States in order for the baby to become a US citizen.
It was directed by Lonzo Nzekwe and also stars Sam Sarpong, Terri Oliver, Colin Paradine and Mark Cassius.
British actor, Sam Sarpong, committed suicide in October 2015.
