Wife of Bayelsa State Governor, Gloria Diri, says her husband, Douye Diri, does not take medication.
Speaking on Thursday at a church service in honour of the governor’s 61st birthday held at the King of Glory Chapel, Government House, Yenagoa, Mrs Diri described her husband as a man blessed with great ability to do exploit despite his busy schedule.
She also said her husband’s emergence as governor by virtue of a Supreme Court pronouncement was divine timing.
“His (my husband’s) coming was neither by his power nor by his might. This is a man that never takes medication. Every day and every night he works hard. I want to say that his strength will continue to be renewed like that of the Eagle,” she said.
Bishop Ebi Belepeigha, in his sermon, explained that the miraculous emergence of Diri as governor of the state is proof that God is with him and the state as well.
The cleric prayed for greater grace and strength on the governor year after year and for him to lead the state with wisdom.
Speaker of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Abraham Ingobere, was represented at the event by the House Leader, Monday Obolo-Bubou.
