Nollywood actress, Funmi Holder, has announced that he 2019 movie, Efunsetan Aniwura, will be screened at the 2020 edition of the American Black Film Festival.
The Tinsel star made this known on Instagram on Thursday.
She wrote, “My dreams are coming true! Efunsetan Aniwura has bagged another official selection at the 2020 American Black Film Festival scheduled to hold in Miami later this year!”
Efunsetan Aniwura, which will also be screened at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival, is the story of the most powerful and wealthiest Yoruba woman who dealt in slaves and ammunition in the 17th Century.
She was also an advocate for equal rights among men and women until she lost her only child and became depressed and vicious which led to the killing of her slaves.
The film was directed by Joshua Ojo and stars Clarion Chukwura, Alex Osifo among others.
