Nollywood actress, Lala Akindoju, has denied rumour that veteran actor, Olu Jacobs, is dead.
Fake news of the 77-year-old died emerged on social media on Tuesday evening.
Akindoju, who is quite close to Jacobs and his wife, Joke Silva, however, said in a Twitter post that she spoke with the man and that he was “alive and well.”
A star of several film, TV and theatre productions, Olu Jacobs has been off the acting scene for a while due to age.
Last week, he and his wife denied endorsing any drug for the treatment of diabetes.
“Olu Jacobs and I have NOT endorsed any medication to treat diabetes or any drug for the treatment of any ailment.
“If and when we do the public will be informed in advance on our platforms and it will be audiovisual,” Joke wrote in a disclaimer posted on Instagram.
