Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham and winner of the fourth season of the Big Brother Naija reality show, Mercy Eke, had a mock argument on Twitter over amala.
It all started when the 26-year-old Mercy tweeted that pounded yam is better than amala in reply to a tweet by singer, Korede Bello, who complained that people were disrespecting amala
“Amala cannot stand beside pounded yam sprinkled with ofe nsala on the side. I said what I said,” Mercy wrote.
Toyin, 35, replied on Wednesday, “Mercy donāt let me vex for you, pounded yam is good but please amala is a legend.”
Mercy and Toyin are not the only celebrities to disagree over amala on Twitter.
Singer, Adesua Etomi, joked about her blocking her husband, singer, Banky W, for tweeting that garri is better than amala on May 6.
