Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, is celebrating the founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet Temitope Joshua, also known as TB Joshua, on his 57th birthday.
Onazi shared pictures on Twitter on Friday of the Golden Eaglets’ celebration of their silver medal at the synagogue church after the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2009.
In the social media post, Onazi, 27, thanked Joshua for all he had done for them and wished him long life.
He wrote: “Happy birthday prophet TB Joshua. Thank you for everything you have done for us. Wish you long life and God’s grace amen.. 🎂🎉”
Onazi alongside Sani Emmanuel and first-choice Eaglets goalkeeper at the time, Dami Danjuma, were joined by the preacher’s My People FC teammates to cut a special cake during the celebration in 2009.
Onazi had severally attributed his recall to the U-17 national team to the cleric’s prayers.
“I did not make the open screening of the Golden Eaglets and thereafter I joined a friend to go to Lagos for TB Joshua to pray for me,” he told ScoreNigeria in May.
“He prayed for me and I joined his team My People’s FC, who later played in a tournament in Sweden where we did well and I was recalled to the Golden Eaglets by the new coach of the team (John Obuh).”
