Singer, D’banj, has finally denied the claim made by a man identified as Benjamin Ese, with Instagram username @action_name, who accused him of raping his friend after gaining access to her hotel room in 2018.
The 40-year-old demanded a public apology and threatened to legal action against his accuser when he shared pictures of a letter sent by his legal team to that of his accuser on Instagram on Tuesday.
“Today is exactly 1 week after my birthday and this will be the only time I will address the recent false allegations and lies from the pit of hell…I would like to state that these Accusations are false and ludicrous and Have been handed over to my Legal Team…,” he wrote in the caption.
Benjamin Ese, in a post he shared on June 3 alleged that D’banj used his influence as a celebrity to obtain the key to his friend’s hotel room after she had rebuffed his advances and sexually assaulted her.
Other celebrities who have also faced rape allegations in recent times include singer, Peruzzi, media personality, Uti Nwachukwu and rapper, Zoro.
