Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, has intervened on behalf of a graphic artist who called out Ramsey Nouah and the producers of the 2019 film, Living in Bondage: Breaking Free, for using her work without compensation.
The 48-year-old had been tagged in a tweet by human rights activist, Segun Awosanya, who assured the graphic artist, Louisa Jilo, that Kate would see to it that she is compensated.
He wrote, “As a creative director of years I can relate to how people treat intellectual property rights, which is an ongoing dialogue with practitioners as we speak. But this case will be sorted as my Distinguished sister @HenshawKate promised. @Ramseynouah_ is one of the good guys.”
In reply, Kate explained that she had spoken to Ramsey and he had assured her that his team had reached out to Louisa.
The 4th Republic star wrote, “I can say I know @Ramseynouah_ to a certain extent. He is not that type of person. Ur connect was passing off your job as his own. I have spoken to Ramsey and I hear someone has reached out to you.”
Louisa thanked Kate and announced that she had been contacted and compensated as promised.
The Ramsey Nouah-directed movie, Living in Bondage: Breaking Free is a sequel to Living in Bondage, released in 1992.
