Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, have paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Senator Bayo Osinowo.
The duo arrived at the late senator’s residence around 11am on Friday.
Mr Sanwo-Olu led members of the state’s executive council to commiserate with the widow and family of the late lawmaker.
He described Osinowo’s death as a “colossal loss” to Lagos and Nigeria and urged his family members and political associates to take the circumstances surrounding his death as a will of God.
“I am personally at a loss over the death of Senator Adebayo Oshinowo. I am yet to recover from the shock because of the good relationship I had with him, even before I became the governor,” the governor said.
Osinowo, popular known as Pepper, died on Monday in a Lagos hospital and was buried same day in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
He represented Lagos East Senatorial District under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Osinowo was a member of the Lagos House of Assembly for four consecutive terms from 2003 to 2019.
