Singer, Waje, has requested to know what exactly is going on in the rape case against fellow singer, D’banj.
The 39-year-old made the request on Friday after it was confirmed that the Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Adamu, had ordered a probe into the allegation.
This follows reports that the accuser, Seyitan Babatayo, was arrested, detained and coerced into recanting her statement.
Waje tweeted, “The same police who arrested Seyitan are probing D’banj? Please can someone give us clear facts if this case.”
Fans were left scratching their heads on Friday after Seyitan’s Twitter account with username @Seyitannn_ was apparently used to promote D’banj’s song, ‘Stress Free.’
The account also shared another tweet in which Seyitan appeared to deny that she had been arrested, contrary to what her lawyer, Olamide Omileye, had told the press.
