A governorship aspirant in Edo State, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has cast his votes in the ongoing direct governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mr Ize-Iyamu, a former Secretary to Edo State Government, voted on Monday after washing his hands at the voting ground in observance of protocols to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
Accreditation of card-carrying party members began as early as 8 am in the 192 wards across 18 local government areas of the state.
In some of the wards, members were asked to vote for the aspirants of their choice by raising their cards at the mention of their preferred candidate.
Asides Ize-Iyamu, the other candidates vying for the party’s ticket are Pius Odubu and Osaro Obazee.
