Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa, has recalled the two goals he scored against Iceland in the 2018 FIFA World Cup group stage match held in Russia.
The 27-year-old, in a tweet on Monday, said it was unarguably one of the best days of his life – one which he could never forget.
“Wow how time flies. I can’t believe it’s 2 years already since I scored those much needed goals at the World Cup ⚽⚽⚽⚽ The tears of joy I shed that day I can never forget. Unarguably one of the best days of my life. Grateful to Allah & every one of you for the love. 🙏🦅🇳🇬❤️,” Musa tweeted.
The Jos-born winger scored two goals – in the 49th and 75th minute – which ensured Nigeria beat Iceland 2-0.
Nigeria, however, failed to qualify for the Round of 16 after losing 2-1 to Argentina in its third game following 2-0 loss to Croatia in the opening game.
