Hollywood actor, John Boyega, has shared a picture of himself saying a prayer before enjoying a meal of pounded yam, okra stew and some assorted meat.
The 28-year-old, who was widely praised for his anti-racism speech at a Black Lives Matter protest in London on June 4, shared the picture on Instagram on Monday.
He wrote, “Thanking the almighty fada for pounded yam, okra stew with some assorted meat. From this sustenance comes discipline, a bit of a gut, an increase in the ability to mind your own business and good sleep. I am grateful.”
The Star Wars star has been vocal about his love for Nigerian food, in December 2015, he celebrated landing his Star Wars role by taking co-star, Harrison Ford, for a meal at a Nigerian restaurant in London.
Then in March 2018, waded into Nigeria-Ghana Jollof war by declaring that Nigerians and not Ghanians, have perfected the art of making the popular dish.
