Nimi Akinkugbe stirs debates over Ondo ambassadorial slot

It’s actually a good thing to oppose Nimi Akinkugbe’s appointment based on her not being from Ondo state

Her appointment is legal, but we must use this opportunity to dismantle and challenge the absurdly misogynist law saying a married woman is from her husband’s state of origin

As the law stands in Nigeria today, she is from Ondo State so the appointment is perfectly okay. The House of Representatives recently passed an amendment to make a married woman claim either where she hails from or husband's. But on current law, nobody can touch Nimi Akinkugbe.
