Grammy Awards on Monday, December 7, released the 2016 list of nominees.
Noticeably, the most nominated woman in the award show history , Beyonce, is not included.
The singer, songwriter who has a total of 20 awards and 53 nominations from the Grammys for her music as a solo artist and with Destiny’s Child has never missed out on any nomination since she went solo in 2006.
As part of the Destiny Child’s group, Beyonce earned 23 Grammy nominations and won nine from 2000- 2006.
Since, 2007, the ‘Flawless’ singer has been known to rule the Grammy awards winning 11 and getting 30 nominations.
Beyonce, in 2010 went home with six awards out of 10 nominations including the awards for Best Contemporary R&B Album, Song of the Year, Best R&B Song and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.
It was revealed that the 58th Annual Grammy Awards eligibility window started from October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015 which means only songs released during that period were up for nominations.
During that period, Mrs Carter released the hit song ‘7/11’ on November 25, 2014 along with a music video.
Unfortunately, the viral song was not enough to earn Queen Bee any nod.
While the multiple award-winning singer will not be taking home any award come February 15, 2016, Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd who have the highest nods will compete in various categories including the most coveted Album of the Year.
