Comedian, AY Makun, has joked that he is considering a career in politics as it now appears to be more profitable than comedy and acting.
The 48-year-old made the joke on Instagram on Friday.
“With the kind of billions I have been hearing in the news lately. E be like say to enter Abuja go pay pass all these film and stand-up comedy o. And nobody is even going to them for giveaways? Anyways what would you vote AY for?” he asked.
Other Nigerian entertainers who have also forged a career in politics include Richard Mofe Damijo and Desmond Elliot.
Richard was the Delta State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism from 2009 to 2015 while Desmond presently represents the Surulere Constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
