Christian minister and film-maker Mike Bamiloye says he weeps for the “youths of this generation” who attacked the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye over his message for wife Foluke on her 72nd birthday.
In a lengthy post on Instagram on Wednesday, Bamiloye said he was worried at the growing lack of respect for “great elders and intercessors of the nation”.
“I read one of the tweets advising Papa Adeboye how to speak about his wife next time. I am amazed at this terrible Spirit of the End Time that is making many youths of this time to stagger like drunken men.
“The youths that seriously need prayers and spiritual intervention for various daunting issues of their lives are bashing a man who has prayed for millions in many nations. Where do you run to now, when storms of life arise upon your sea of life?” he asked.
He also attacked those criticised Foluke Adeboye, fondly called Mummy G.O., for being too submissive to her husband.
“You are angry at the woman whose all children are successful and flourishing? You need her prayers!” he said.
Adeboye had in his birthday message to his wife said that at age 72 his wife cooks and serves him herself and treats him as head of the family despite being an influential woman.
