Media personality Toke Makinwa lives in Ikoyi area of Lagos, not Banana Island, one of her managers has said.
BBC Pidgin quoted a source who countered claims that Toke’s mansion in Banana Island had been seized by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).
“Toke still dey stay for her house wey dey Ikoyi and e get something wey plenti pipo dey get wrong, her house no even dey for Banana Island,” the manager said.
After rumours spread on social media on Monday about the seizure, Toke reacted with indifference writing on Twitter “We move”.
It was also rumoured that AMCON took over the property due to the 35-year-old’s inability to pay up a loan.
