First Lady Aisha Buhari has been flown to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates to be treated of severe neck pain.
Mrs Buhari was flown out of the country during the Sallah holiday last week after complaining of neck pain for about two weeks before that time, according to Sahara Reporters.
The pain is believed to have begun shortly after she returned to Abuja in July from a condolence visit to Florence Ajimobi widow of former Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi.
A top presidential source told PUNCH that the neck pain actually started in the buildup to the 2019 presidential election and that she sought treatment abroad.
“However, recently the pain returned and was even worse than the first time. So, she was flown out last week. It was indeed a medical emergency,” the source said.
The first lady was out of the country for several weeks last year to treat an undisclosed ailment.
Mrs Buhari’s spokesman Aliyu Abdullah told the newspaper he was not aware if she was out of the country or not.
