The remains of the late Senator Buruji Kashamu have been laid to the ground.
His remains had arrived from Lagos on Saturday night in Ogun for burial.
The Ogun-East senator was buried at about 12:55 pm on Sunday at his Ijebu-Igbo home.
A large crowd gathered including Kashamu’s loyalists for the funeral disregarding social distancing rule.
Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun visited the Ijebu-Igbo home of the deceased politician before he was buried.
Kashamu died on Saturday due to COVID-19-related complications at the age of 62.
